Blogging and Visitor Comments
Blogging is a great way to share with your visitors what you've got going on. Contrasting the stiff, unexciting format of the press release, blog posts capture the hum of your organization as expressed in the authentic voice of you or your co-workers. Permitting your visitors to leave comments may very well expose you to feedback you wouldn't normally hear.
setting up your blog
In Renao, your blog is simply a collection of articles where you've allowed visitor comments (by toggling the 'commentable' property on the publishing tab for the article). To present them to your visitors in the customary reverse-chonological order that most blogs use, we've set up some special design templates. You won't have to mess with these though if you don't want to. Simply create a top-level collection on your site named 'blog' and put your blog posts in there. Renao will take care of formatting them for you.
managing comments
Rather than visiting all your blog posts to see if you've received comments, you can see all comments for your blog in one place in admin. Under the 'preferences' tab on the blog collection, check the box under 'resource types' next to 'comment'. This will add a tab to that collection in admin (after you save and refresh the main window) for listing all the comments on resources in that collection. You can then moderate those comments however you choose, from redacting objectionable content to deleting comments outright. You will, however, want to keep the trust of your visitor community in mind when you choose to modify or remove their words.
